The lower screen messages are examples of messages that are displayed when the amiibo is removed.
The system automatically backs up the data written to amiibo figures. Convey the following information to the customer.

• As long as the amiibo is being used with a single Nintendo gaming device, there is no risk in restoring data from the backup.

• If the amiibo is used with multiple Nintendo gaming devices and software that has the same application ID, it is up to the user to determine which device's data is the most appropriate to restore from.
We recommend restoring from the data on the last gaming device used, but it is also possible to restore earlier older backup data on another device.

• After the data on the amiibo has been restored, the data is no longer corrupted. The user cannot use the data from another Nintendo gaming device to restore the amiibo using that data.

If the restore operation fails repeatedly, or if the same error message appears repeatedly even though the restore operation succeeded, something could be wrong with the amiibo. Find out if the customer would be interested in having the amiibo replaced.

If there is a problem with the amiibo and the data is corrupted, there is currently no means of restoring the data.
Backup data saved on the console cannot be written to a new amiibo, so the user would need to start over from the beginning with the new amiibo.

Tag data is corrupted. Because there is no backup data, the tag must be reset.ResultNeedFormatConfirm how the customer is using the amiibo, and then convey the following information as necessary.

• Because there is no backup data on the 3DS system that is currently running, the amiibo data must be reset.

• After you start amiibo Settings under System Settings and initialize the amiibo data, the amiibo becomes available for use again.

• If the amiibo was previously used with another Nintendo gaming device and software that had the same application ID, the amiibo accessory's data can be restored from that device.
The data cannot be restored, however, if that gaming device has lost the back up data due to formatting its system memory, repair, file corruption or other reasons.

• After the data on the amiibo has been initialized, the data is no longer corrupted. The user cannot use the data from another Nintendo gaming device to restore the amiibo using that data.

If the restore operation fails repeatedly, or if the same error message appears repeatedly even though the restore operation succeeded, something could be wrong with the amiibo. Find out if the customer would be interested in having the amiibo replaced.
