enum _NetworkTopology;
Value | Description |
---|---|
Peer2Peer | A P2P type network topology. The default for Net-Z is a full mesh type peer-to-peer topology, where all stations directly connect with each other. With this topology, the messages sent among stations always arrive directly. |
ClientServer | A client/server type network topology. The network is built from connections between the various stations and a central station (the session master). The session master communicates directly with each of the other stations, whereas these other stations communicate among themselves via the routing of the session master. |
Hybrid | The topology is intermediate between P2P and client/server network topologies. It can support environments where a complete full-mesh topology (P2P type) cannot be constructed. If two stations, neither of which is the session master, can establish a direct connection, then data is transmitted without going through the session master. But if a direct connection cannot be established, then the data is transmitted via the session master. |
The enumerated type for network topologies.
