Sets an additional user to add to the session.
If you want to add another user to a matchmaking session at the same time you join the session, specify the principal ID using this function. This function is used, for example, when you want to have a friend on your team in a competitive match. The target user must be logged in to the NGS. A NotificationEvents::AddedToGathering
notification is sent to the user who was added. The added user can retrieve detailed information about the matchmaking session, including a shared key for P2P communication, by using the MatchmakeExtensionClient::FindMatchmakeSessionByGatheringIdDetail function. When MATCHMAKE_SYSTEM_TYPE_FRIEND
was used, the friend relationship between the additional user and the matchmaking session owner is not checked. The initial state is empty.
